West Africa Automotive Show to host 300+ exhibitors

Country pavilions will showcase auto parts from around the world.

 More than 300 exhibitors are gearing up for this year’s West Africa Automotive Show, opening on May 13th.

Country pavilions will be showcasing vehicle parts, components and aftermarket services from China, India, Turkey and Poland, in addition to the exhibitors from more than 50 countries around the world including the USA, Ghana, Italy, Germany, UAE, and many more. There will also be a special focus on Nigeria’s spare parts industry.

Visitors will be able to see 1,000s of products, many being new to Nigeria, including oils and lubricants, accessories, wheels, tyres, spare parts, finished vehicles, electric vehicles, trucks, and much more. Developments in sustainable mobility will be highlighted promoting adjustments needed for electric vehicles (EVs), hydrogen-based fuel and initiatives such as the Presidential compressed natural gas Initiative (Pi-CNG) with objectives around cheaper gas, cleaner emission and job creation[CG1] .

More than 5,000 visitors are expected to attend the West Africa Automotive Show which has become the largest international trade event in Africa dedicated to auto parts. Combining a vast exhibition space and three-day conference, the free-to-attend event takes place at the Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos from May 13th to 15th 2025.

The expo supports a market sector which has an estimated annual revenue of ₦770 billion to ₦1.4 trillion (US$500 million to US$900 million).WAAS will also reflect the growth in e-commerce demand for automotive parts which has been predicted to reach ₦122 billion (US$72.9 million) by 2025 and account for 30.9% of the DIY eCommerce market in Nigeria. With a projected compound annual growth rate for the next four years of 7.8%, the e-market volume could be worth ₦151 billion (US$98.4 million) by 2029.
