Electra Motors to Launch Pioneering CNG Conversion Centre in Delta State

Electra Motors Limited, a Nigerian automotive company dedicated to advancing clean transportation solutions, has announced the official launch of its Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Conversion Centre in Asaba, Delta State. The launch event is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the company’s flagship facility located at 1 DBS Junction, beside Zenith Bank, Okpanam Road, Asaba.

This first-of-its-kind centre will serve as a regional hub for converting petrol-powered vehicles into cleaner, more cost-effective CNG systems, supporting Nigeria’s national energy transition agenda.

The initiative aligns with the objectives of the Presidential CNG Initiative (PCNGI) and underscores Electra Motors’ mission to promote sustainable mobility across the country.

“We’re not just opening a centre — we’re starting a movement. A movement that empowers Nigerians to save on fuel costs, cut emissions, and achieve greater energy independence,” said Charles Omordia, Founder and Managing Director of Electra Motors.

The CNG Conversion Centre will provide affordable conversion services for tricycles, sedans, and buses. It will also offer after-sales maintenance and support, technician training and certification, and run clean energy awareness programmes targeting drivers and transport unions.

With this initiative, Electra Motors reinforces its commitment to reshaping Nigeria’s automotive sector through accessible, clean, and reliable alternatives. The Asaba CNG Conversion Centre represents the first of many milestones on the company’s journey toward a sustainable transport future.
